We’re building an open-source tool that helps teachers listen more closely to their students’ reading — not to replace teachers, but to give them another set of eyes and ears.
Students record themselves reading.
The tool transcribes what it hears, notes miscues and patterns, and offers simple prompts to check for understanding.
Teachers receive a clear snapshot of each student’s reading, in far less time than traditional assessments.
This project is designed especially for:
- Students in rural or remote communities
- Learners for whom English is an additional language
- Students who may be struggling but haven’t yet been identified or supported
Our goal is simple: make reading assessment more fair, more accessible, and more human.
